I want wax my eyebrows at sally’s but how much does it cost and if they do it right?
OH and Waxing the upper lip too how much does that cost?

Ask them.
But where I am,not in that place but in some salon,Upper lip=6$.Eyebrows=8$.

Is it even necessary to tip for every beauty service?

The standard decent tip for great service is 15%. If you feel like someone is doing even better than that than give them what you feel they deserve. Just remember that you dont have to tip them just because it is usually done. What I mean is if they are not doing a good job than do you really think they deserve a tip at all? I only tip if I get good service. However it takes someone doing a really crappy job not to get at least 10% although I usually give 15%.

Does anyone know of a good salon that does good waxing and threading???

I’m off to Benidorm on Saturday and haven’t had time to wax my legs. If I do it myself, the job’s not quite as good. Help!

Depends where you are flying from – some airports have salons where you can get a wax and a spray tan etc – one way to kill time before your flight! If not I’m sure there are plenty of salons in Benidorm

NJ was thinking of banning brazilian waxes and it got me thinking, what are some of the worst beauty services out there? If you had to ban a beauty service, what would it be and why?

Hollywood waxing, its when they take all the hair off. Brazilian is when they keep a stripe or shape in the middle. But you get used to it.

I know this is a pretty good school, and it is run by a local community college, but I was wondering if I would be putting much risk into it. They offer cheap services so that students can practice, but these aren’t new students. Do you think it would be too much of a risk to do the whole haircut/dye thing at this beauty school? Any opinions?

you have to check out their student:teacher ratio. if the ratio is too low, forget it.
i’ve tried the my local student services at a well known hairdressing school for rebonding plus cut. it turned out well, but the time i spent there was like 3 times the time i would have spent at their normal salon with a senior stylist. just my haircut took 1 and a half hours… can you believe it?
