Everyone has a few beauty secrets that they’ve gotten from friends and family. Discove the key to glowing and healthy skin, whether you are a teenager or a grandmother. You do not need make-up to be beautiful. Collins English Dictionary says beauty is the combination of all the qualities of a person or thing that delight the senses and please the mind – a defination that potrays beauty as an incredibly subjective quality. Here are some of them:
Just mash half an avocado and spread evenly on your clean face. Allow to remain for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. This is best for dry skin types.
To remove discoloration from elbows – rub a lemon half on them. Lemon juice is a good bleaching agent and its safe too. Try lemon juice mix with same proportion of glycerine.use this mixture daily, do not miss even one day,you will get a fair skin, and a glowing one as well.
To keep makeup looking fresh – After applying makeup, spray mineral water on your face and let dry. Do not wipe. Makeup will stay looking fresh longer. To lighten age spots and sun-damaged skin, mix the juice of 1 lemon, 1 lime, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 ounces of plain yogurt. Gently massage into each spot. Use at least once a week.
Turns out we’ve been throwing away (or composting) a valuable part of the avocado!! You can use the inside of the peel as a fabulous humectant and oil-rich moisturizer. Just lightly apply the inside of the peel to your clean face, using gentle upward strokes. You can leave the oil on your face all night or rinse after 15 minutes. Makes a great foundation for your foundation or powder!
Squeeze the juice from an orange, then strain the pulp; using your fingers, pat the liquid on your face. The juice will evaporate quickly and leave you with a radiant glow. Plus you’ll have the benefits of the antioxidant vitamin C.
Swipe Chapstick on your cuticles to keep them hydrated.
Mix 1/2 cup warm water with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Using a cotton ball, apply directly to blemish. Maintain pressure with cotton ball for several minutes, to soften blemish. Using a cotton swab, dab honey on blemish; leave on 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
Prevent ingrown hairs by dabbing on witch hazel after shaving or waxing.
Crush a few uncoated asprin in between 2 spoons. Mix it with a tiny bit of water to make it a paste. Use it as a mask over blemishes and they will be gone the next morning! Also, it will even out your skin tone!
Try the juice of a fresh citrus fruit if you want an astringent otherwise simply tap water alone regularly may eventually allow your skin to find equilibrium as the more you dry your skin the more oil it may produce. Unfortunately it’s your endocrine system that has a big influence on your skin and we have limited control over that.
Mash a ripe mango with one tablespoon plain yogurt. Add 2 egg yolks and blend. Work the mix into your hair, then cover your head with a shower cap and leave in place 20 minutes. Shampoo thoroughly. It’s the ultimate hair conditioner!

What’s your beauty secret? Shhh! I won’t tell anyone! =D?
Something small or out of the ordinary that makes a big difference. For example, I use clear mascara to shape my eyebrows, and I shave my legs with plain hair conditioner instead of shaving foam – makes them SUPER soft =)
What’s yours?
